This is a trio of rare Sassafras live edge slabs. Sassafras bark is the original source of Root Beer soda. The sawdust from Sassafras carries that unique root beer aroma.
This trio of Sassafras live edge slabs is presented and available for a variety of possible dining table options. Glue-up the three pieces, with the narrow center slab running down the middle to control net width of table, and the outer to book matched slabs on either side, and you'd have a really nice, balanced, solid wood full sized Sassafras dining tabletop.
Or, layout the two outer bookmatched slabs with a suitable space for net table width, and fill the inner void with either clear or colored epoxy of your choice, and use the narrow slab seen in the center for either two shorter bench seats, or one long bench seat, with enough cutoff for a side table. Or use the center slab to create an entirely separate, accenting furnishing of your choice.
Lots of great options here, at reasonable price. These slabs are kiln dried and rough sawn. Ready to skip-plane, then make the tabletop, then finish surface/sand. Sassafras is strong, lightweight wood, which finishes with a color and grain very similar to American Chestnut.
