This is a slab from a group of slabs, where the sapwood has turned nearly the color of the heartwood - a truly gorgeous and rare characteristic of black walnut slabs. Despite the frozen sawdust seen on this winter-sawn slab (which didn't get scraped off for this photo), the color and grain in this slab is quite amazing. Suitable for many larger project purposes. Beautiful dark, rich color and grain in this slab. This slab has been air drying since February, 2021. It is not kiln dried. Available for purchase and ready to ship now.
